Accepting PayPal payments for international transactions?

I have a buyer in the United Kingdom interested in purchasing two small paintings have been published on the web. The site charges 25% if used for processing the transaction. I'm thinking about opening a PayPal Merchant Account, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to accept payment. I am suspicious of an international check. If you used PayPal or another service to accept the money, please let me know your opinion and advice. Thank you!

You should weigh these factors before deciding to sell using an account paypal .. on EBAY does not particularly protect sellers Paypal at all.
