How does a payment processor to take money from a Credit Card and give a trader in the backend?

The merchant usually receive deposits into your bank account daily for the credit card sales. However, as a fee to Process Credit cards, a "discount" a certain percentage (between 2% -5%) will be taken out. The discount can be charged as a lump sum or monthly deposits into your account will be reduced by the amount supply on a daily basis.
