How much is the trade credit discount cards in the U.S.?
When I took the accounting, we learned that Credit Card companies do not reimburse dealers throughout the purchase price. In contrast, the short trader to maintain a small cut for processing the transaction. In my classes, we use 2% for all cards. It all depends on your business, the type of transactions you make. The rates may vary, or may be at a variable rate plan that charges for exchange rates (exchange rates are decided by Visa Mastercard Association). For a Merchant Account, give these guys a call – www.iso4chase.com. Now as far as AMEX is concerned, which set their own rates as AMEX is not part of the VISA / MC association. Discover used to do that too, but now commercial processors such as First Data, Chase Paymentech and other places you can set up accounts for you and to maintain charges for which the statement of only one. Discover card has its own exchange. There are different types of price plans out there. You may be at a fixed rate, three or two levels, the structure where you get a qualified rate and an index of lack of qualified personnel (cards as business cards, etc. card rewards are not eligible for the qualified rate), you can be on a bill structure in return would pay a fixed rate, then the lowest they can not get exchange rate or you may be in a sort of trade + pricing in which the interchange fee paid, plus a small percentage in top of each transaction.
