How to obtain free credit reports in the U.S., UK or Australia

Consumers in the U.S., UK and Australia all may have in your hands a free copy of your credit report to make a Credit Card self-control. The systems of each country are different, and this article explains how consumers can go about getting a free credit report if you live in one of these countries.

In the U.S.:

The Consumers have the legal right to a free copy of your credit report each year on a number of years. The Fair Credit Reporting Act granted to consumers one free credit report from each of the three U.S. credit bureaus reports, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

There is only one authorized website in the U.S. of America, consumers can obtain their free report on your legal rights, and that is annualcreditreport.com. There is also a toll free number, 1-877-322-8228, where U.S. citizens can order your annual credit report. A report can be ordered by completing the Annual Credit Report Request form and publish it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, PO Box 105 281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. Online, the service is immediate, but security issues will be asked to verify your identity. By phone and mail, it takes about 15 days for a credit report to arrive, but can take longer if the latter to verify identity.

The Commission Commercial Federal, which protects U.S. consumers, has warned people to be on the look out for what he calls "imposter" sites. At one point it was estimated there were more than a hundred of these existing sites, some of which include domains that use typos on the website approved report free credit.

Other online services offer free credit reports through subscription schemes free trial period. The Tasmanian Collection Service, which covers the citizens of Tasmania, offering consumers a free credit report if Have been denied credit or an application has to do with the management of loan commitments of an individual.
