Dual Desktop Configuration: Expand your desktop space Real

I'm a programmer. I work with many programs, and I need to have a multitude of applications running simultaneously: a compiler, debugger, code editor, command shells, documentation, and various other tools of trade, which makes it a lot of windows open. The pace of my workflow significantly degrade if I had a single screen to work. I admit, I plunder through use of the power of a dual desktop configuration. I find it frustrating dealing with a single desktop. I am an avid multi-tasker. I juggle a lot windows at the same time, and doing so with a single display becomes a cumbersome and frustrating.

Windows XP has native support for multiple monitors. Imagine having two screens next to each other. Now imagine its expansion desktop window to fill your sample, forming a fluid, continuous desktop. With two shows, side by side, an application can be maximized to full screen on one screen, and another application maximized at number 2. Displaying 2 windows maximized while is impossible within the confines of a single desktop. You basically have two desktop computers at your disposal, each in sight. To move from one desktop to another, easy to move the cursor, it's almost magical the first time you witness it!

I can not live without at least one LCD screen and its small foot print leaves much more space on my desktop computer, and do not feel like I'm carrying a baby elephant when moving. Also I have several spare CRT monitors of yesteryear around rest, which attracts dust and generally doing nothing of value. Most of today's graphics cards come with two monitor ports: a D-Sub and a DVI port. D-Sub port supports CRT monitors from the old school and DVI for LCD screens of today's fashion. With an LCD and a CRT monitor of the old school, who can build a desktop system dual greatly expands the space of your desktop double windows giving ample space for legs.

The process is simple: connect your DVI LCD CRT port and D-Sub port and boot XP. Window XP should recognize the extra monitor. Right click on the desktop and select "Properties." Go to the tab Settings. You should see your sample labeled as 1 and 2. You can move each one around, change the resolution and color quality. In the configuration your CRT monitor, you can change your refresh rate. If by any chance have an extra LCD on tap, you can even buy an adapter so you can connect your LCD screen extra for D-Sub VGA port. Two LCD screens are better than LCD / CRT setup, in my humble opinion.

When shopping around for a card graph for the configuration of multiple screens, make sure your card of choice is a DVI port and a VGA port, most mid-range nVidia ATI cards do. If you have 2 LCD screens, make sure you have an adapter for one of the screens can interact with the VGA port. If your current card does not have the capacity dual head and has an empty PCI slot, you can buy very cheap nVidia card for additional display.
I fully trust my multi-screen configuration extreme multitasking for my needs. A dual desktop configuration provides extra space I need, and may be an alternative to purchasing a large deployment frugal widescreen.
